A little planning goes a long way
Before you book in Adelaide
- For a Barossa, McLaren Vale or Hills venue, include the supplier access window and time setup must be complete. Those may differ from the start of your room hire.
- Ask the venue about amplified-music conditions and packdown time. That helps you plan speeches and dancing without squeezing the final part of the night.
- Confirm which supplier is providing ceremony audio. It is easy for a celebrant, venue and DJ each to assume someone else has it covered.
- For a reception split between a terrace and an indoor room, share the layout and wet-weather alternative before finalising the equipment list.

Do you quote for the Barossa, McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills?
Yes. Tell us the exact venue, date and timings, including any separate ceremony position. We will work through the requirements with you and make the scope clear in the quote.
Can the ceremony and reception have different audio setups?
Yes, that can be planned as part of the booking. Share both positions, the schedule and any audio already being supplied by the venue or celebrant so we can quote for what is actually needed.
What does booking a Vex DJ mean?
Your music, your crowd, your occasion. Tell us what you have planned and we’ll take care of the DJ, with a clear quote before you book.
Is a sound system included?
Yes. A standard sound system is included with Vex private DJ hire. For a bigger setup, ask about a premium sound upgrade with extra subwoofers and speakers. Upgrades are quoted separately.
Can we send song requests and a do-not-play list?
Absolutely. Tell us the music you love, the songs that matter and anything you want left out. We use that brief to shape the night, with room to respond to your guests rather than following a fixed playlist from start to finish.
Can you help with more than the DJ?
Yes. Standard sound is included. Tell us if you also want premium sound, lighting, a photo booth, photography or video. We can also help plan a full event package, including the venue, catering and security. Your quote will set out what is included so you can choose the scope that suits your event.
