Sydney is where most of our team is based and where we run Vex U18s shows. For a private event, we take that focus on the room and build around your guests, your music and your venue. You book a Vex DJ, we organise the fit, and you have one team to speak to from the first enquiry to the final details.
A night that feels like a celebration, with the school's music requirements, supervision arrangements and running order built into the brief. Our own Vex U18s shows give you a real look at the events behind the brand.
Backyard, function room or a bigger hired space. Tell us what your friends listen to and how you want the night to feel, and we will plan the DJ and setup around it.
From a relaxed drinks reception to the songs everyone stays out for. Tell us whether you need ceremony audio, microphones or music across several spaces so the quote covers your whole plan.
Christmas parties, team celebrations, launches and awards nights. Background music while guests talk, room for the formalities, then a change of pace when it is time to dance.

Sydney, area by area
A hotel ballroom and a party at home need different plans. Tell us the suburb or venue and we will work through the setup with you.
Manly, Newport, Dee Why and up to Palm Beach. For surf clubs and beachside function rooms, check the loading access, lift availability and the venue's sound conditions before setting the running order.
Bondi, Coogee, Randwick and Double Bay. Terrace spaces, rooftops and home parties need a setup planned around the available space and nearby neighbours, not just the number of guests.
Newtown, Marrickville, Balmain and surrounds. For a pub function room or warehouse venue, ask what sound equipment is included and whether there is a separate area for speeches and dancing.
Sydney CBD, Surry Hills and Darlinghurst. Hotel and building access can involve booked loading times, freight lifts and supplier paperwork. Send the venue contact with your enquiry if you already have one.
North Sydney, Mosman, Chatswood and the Upper North Shore. School events, reception rooms and celebrations at home each need a different layout. For marquees, confirm suitable power, a level setup area and weather cover.
Parramatta, Castle Hill, Penrith and the Hawkesbury. Larger function rooms can need a different sound setup from a packed lounge room. Share the venue layout and guest count so the quote reflects the space.
Cronulla, Sutherland, Hurstville and surrounding suburbs. For waterfront rooms and outdoor celebrations, include the indoor fallback, access details and any finish-time conditions in the brief.

Venue, sound and lighting, catering, security, a photo booth or a videographer. Tell us what you have already booked and what you want us to organise. We will build the package around the job, not add things you do not need.
Extras are quoted for your event. Nothing is added to your booking just because you tick a box.

Yes. We take enquiries across the Northern Beaches, including Manly, Newport, Dee Why and Palm Beach. Send the suburb or venue, your date and the kind of event you are planning. For a surf club or waterfront room, include any known access or sound restrictions too.
Yes. Tell us the year group, venue, school requirements and whether you are the organiser, a parent or part of the committee. We will plan the music brief and running order with the right contact. A DJ booking does not replace the event's supervision or security arrangements, which can be discussed separately.
The quote depends on the playing hours, venue, sound and lighting requirements, and any extras. A venue with suitable equipment already installed may need a different package from a backyard party. Send the basics first and we will clarify the details before quoting.
No. A suburb or preferred area is enough to start. Tell us that the venue is still being decided, and flag it if you would like help with a full event package. We will confirm the final setup once the venue is known.
Enquire as soon as you have a likely date, especially for school formals, weddings and end-of-year events. You do not need every detail decided. If the date is close, send it through and we will check what we can arrange.

Yes. A standard sound system is included with Vex private DJ hire. For a bigger setup, ask about a premium sound upgrade with extra subwoofers and speakers. Upgrades are quoted separately.
Absolutely. Tell us the music you love, the songs that matter and anything you want left out. We use that brief to shape the night, with room to respond to your guests rather than following a fixed playlist from start to finish.
Yes. Standard sound is included. Tell us if you also want premium sound, lighting, a photo booth, photography or video. We can also help plan a full event package, including the venue, catering and security. Your quote will set out what is included so you can choose the scope that suits your event.
