Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach
Resort ballrooms and high-rise function rooms. Ask about loading dock bookings, lift dimensions and the earliest supplier access time before confirming the setup schedule.
Burleigh, Palm Beach and Currumbin
Surf clubs and beachfront spaces. Check the venue's outdoor sound conditions and a sheltered setup position, particularly if part of the celebration is on a terrace.
Gold Coast Hinterland
Tamborine Mountain and surrounding properties. A ceremony in the garden and reception in another building need an audio and access plan for both spaces.
Northern Gold Coast and Coomera
Function venues and celebrations at home. Send the room layout, guest count and any outdoor areas being used so the equipment suits the space rather than an assumed package.
A little planning goes a long way
Before you book in Gold Coast
- For a beachfront ceremony, check shelter and a suitable equipment position with the venue or celebrant. Wind and an exposed site affect more than the guest seating.
- If equipment has to go up in a lift, confirm its access rules and usable size. A supplier loading booking is worth arranging before setting the final arrival time.
- Ask a surf club or function venue for its music finish time and any sound-level conditions. Use those to plan the last part of the reception.
- For a holiday-house celebration, confirm that events and amplified music are permitted under the booking terms before hiring suppliers.

Can you quote for a beach ceremony and a reception elsewhere?
Yes. Include both locations, the ceremony time and the reception start. We will discuss the separate equipment and changeover required, including anything the celebrant or venue already provides.
What should we check for a Gold Coast high-rise venue?
Ask about supplier parking, loading dock access, lift bookings, insurance-document requirements and music conditions. Send the venue contact to us so the setup can be planned around the building rather than guessed on arrival.
What does booking a Vex DJ mean?
Your music, your crowd, your occasion. Tell us what you have planned and we’ll take care of the DJ, with a clear quote before you book.
Is a sound system included?
Yes. A standard sound system is included with Vex private DJ hire. For a bigger setup, ask about a premium sound upgrade with extra subwoofers and speakers. Upgrades are quoted separately.
Can we send song requests and a do-not-play list?
Absolutely. Tell us the music you love, the songs that matter and anything you want left out. We use that brief to shape the night, with room to respond to your guests rather than following a fixed playlist from start to finish.
Can you help with more than the DJ?
Yes. Standard sound is included. Tell us if you also want premium sound, lighting, a photo booth, photography or video. We can also help plan a full event package, including the venue, catering and security. Your quote will set out what is included so you can choose the scope that suits your event.
