Hotel functions, bars and city event spaces. Check whether the venue supplies a dedicated DJ area and suitable sound, and share the details with us. Standard sound is included with Vex private DJ hire.
Fremantle and the coast
Heritage rooms and waterfront venues. Ask about access, freestanding equipment and sound conditions. For an outdoor component, allow for wind and a sheltered fallback.
Western Suburbs and river precincts
Cottesloe, Claremont, Nedlands and surrounds. Home and marquee events need a level setup area, suitable power and a clear plan for where guests move if the layout changes.
Swan Valley
Winery and property weddings. Include the exact venue, ceremony position and reception room. A beautiful site can still need separate audio setups to make the whole day work.
A little planning goes a long way
Before you book in Perth
- For a Swan Valley property, ask the venue about suitable power at each audio position. Let the event suppliers confirm the requirements rather than assuming one outlet can serve everything.
- For a summer outdoor event, provide a shaded, sheltered equipment position and an agreed alternative if conditions change.

What do we need for an outdoor Perth party?
A suitable, sheltered position for the DJ, safe power arrangements and a plan if the weather changes. Tell us about the site, guest count and nearby neighbours so we can discuss an appropriate setup with you.
What does booking a Vex DJ mean?
Your music, your crowd, your occasion. Tell us what you have planned and we’ll take care of the DJ, with a clear quote before you book.
Is a sound system included?
Yes. A standard sound system is included with Vex private DJ hire. For a bigger setup, ask about a premium sound upgrade with extra subwoofers and speakers. Upgrades are quoted separately.
Can we send song requests and a do-not-play list?
Absolutely. Tell us the music you love, the songs that matter and anything you want left out. We use that brief to shape the night, with room to respond to your guests rather than following a fixed playlist from start to finish.
Can you help with more than the DJ?
Yes. Standard sound is included. Tell us if you also want premium sound, lighting, a photo booth, photography or video. We can also help plan a full event package, including the venue, catering and security. Your quote will set out what is included so you can choose the scope that suits your event.
